LD Dance Shawbrook LIVE MUSIC & DANCE RESIDENCY is a new commission awarded to musicians and dancer/choreographers to collaborate artistically and innovatively and create original work for public presentation. The artists will work in-residence for two weeks with access to facilities; studios, performance area and artist's accommodation. The final presentation will, subject to Government restrictions, take place at the Forest Stage, Shawbrook. The Covid Contingency Plan is to film the performance for an online streaming event. The Commission aims to promote LD Dance Shawbrook as a key cultural and creative hub in the Midlands. It values and supports artists to create work through resources and relevant supports. The proposal to stream the work online presents an opportunity for Shawbrook to build on their International reputation as a centre of excellence for dance by reaching audiences online.
