This series of workshops will fuse elements of Living, Creating and learning, using Galway's Living bog and its gardens, cultural influence and beauty to bring the community of Mountbellew together.

Living - We will have a willow artist teach and instruct how to build and maintain a real living structure that will grow over the coming years at Galway's Living Bog and become a part of our community gardens here for years to come.

Creating - To create a showpiece tapestry of Galway's Living Bog with Mountbellew Crochet group with a crochet artist over a series of evening workshops. The attendees will each take a section of a bog picture and be asked to recreate this in the medium of wool exploring textures, connection and stories of the bog.

Learning - Local artist Leonie Sutton will teach with textures and colours a group of our weekly attendees from Ability West showing how art is a valuable resource for both earning and fun for members of our community of all abilities. 

With Community at the heart of everything we do here, we hope to explore the different ways that we can bring the community together through creatively in rural Co. Galway.
