Mayo Day 2023

Mayo Day is a celebration of all thing Mayo - our creativity, our heritage, our culture and our history. This year the largest Mayo Day flagship event ever takes place in Ballina as part of the towns 300th celebrations.

On April 29th the town will transform into a hive of celebration of all aspects of our creativity as it will be full to the brim with music, arts, entertainment, culture, and fun for all the family.

The centrepiece of the day will be the music stage, which will be setting down its roots on Pearse Street in the heart of the town, transforming the street into a carnival of fun for all. The line up includes Finéinn Quinn, Boxing Banjo, The Hit Machine Drummers and Lisa Canney.

Another major feature will be the day-long  exhibiting of the best in art, craft, design, food, music, sport, and creativity that the county has to offer. The library will be crammed with arty events as gaeilge for children. There will be an exhibition of Mayo art in the Ballina Arts Centre, followed by drama in the evening.  And of course a  whole field full of events for children!

And, of course, it is all free of charge

Please note that the details of events listed above are provided by the relevant Local Authorities.
