The Meitheal Hay Thrashing, traditional skills event in Loughnaneane Park is a day where we are going too explore how our green spaces are managed, looking at traditional methods for managing gardens, parks and other areas to enhance them for biodiversity while embracing traditional techniques such as scything, using sickles to cut and mow grass. The day will include traditional sugan making and traditional crafts using hay and straw ropes.
