Melodies and Memories – A Monaghan Story will engage local creatives in the delivery of an eclectic programme of music and storytelling inspired by the rich history and heritage of County Monaghan and the borderlands. The show will make three visits to six residential  care settings in County Monaghan. 

Incorporating covers from local showbands, hits from Monaghan’s country music stars and traditional Irish music sets including the Ballybay Polka, it is anticipated that the focus on the local will spark memories of the vibrant Monaghan music scene of years gone by. Melodies will be interspersed with local yarns and poems from the Drumlin hills, performed by local storytellers and the care home residents themselves.
