Each Month in a rural setting of County Carlow - it is initially proposed to take place in Myshall County Carlow – which holds a culturally rich community as well as locally rich natural and built environment. The venue in the local community centre is widely accessible and has ample parking. This will be a no alcohol event, back to its original traditions of light refreshments and tea.
The demographic for this initiative will focus on active retired, 50+, older persons and will focus on local participation each month.
It is intended that each month a night will be chosen, led by local story teller, John Candy who will curate and lead the evening. It is intended that there will be 12/14 maximum local storytellers/musicians/oral history characters selected by John and on occasion there will be nationally selected guest artists.
The evening will commence at 8pm continue until 9pm break for refreshments, resume again at 930pm and finish 10.30/10.45pm.
