Memory Map of the O'Rourke's of Leitrim
Leitrim Heritage Office are developing a new project where you are invited to learn about the O'Rourke's of Leitrim and perhaps take part and contribute in a Memory Map of their legacy in the county.
The O'Rourke's were once the chieftains of the area now known as Leitrim. They left a legacy of castles, abbeys, and earthworks and impacted the county's development over time. Leitrim County Council Heritage office are now seeking stories, memories, photos, drawings, poems and songs related to this great clan. If you have a story or song or drawing or photo you would like to share, this memory map is this place to do it. It is a portal or archive for these stories, memories and photos about places in Leitrim associated with this important clan.
