The Michael Davitt Museum in Straide, Co Mayo  are proposing to develop a graphic novel and an animated film on the life and work of Michael Davitt.The emphasis of the project will be, to develop a social platform accessible to primary and secondary schools to elucidate this very pivotal period of Irish history and the global consequence of Davitt's actions.

This is based on a model of the Spanish Armada project initiated by Dr. Bob Curran  and the University of Coolraine. This should prove to be a methodology to be extrapolated to other such cultural/educational initiatives e.g. Irish myths and legends, the Irish language, folklore etc. In the current context this should also prove a beacon for new learning experience through the use of technology.
