Michael Viney, author and naturalist, Thallabawn Co. Mayo, prior to his death in May 2023 had completed the manuscript for a book entitled Michael Viney’s Natural World. This final book, inspired by the landscape around him, includes his writings accompanied by his illustrations and paintings and is being published by Artisan House Editions. Mayo Heritage Office and Mayo creative Ireland plan to support the publication pf this book in late 2023.
