This initiative will see an expansion on the Mincéirí ag Canadh original singing programme, funded by Creative Waterford in 2022, which resulted in 6 beautiful recordings of Traveller singers.  

Singing and storytelling has always been an important aspect of Traveller history and culture and has been the traditional way of passing on old stories from generation to generation. The second round of funding will allow for a second volume of singers to be recorded performing well loved songs and demonstrating traditional singing and modern talents. 

The final CD will be available to be enjoyed by a multigenerational audience both within the Traveller and  wider community.
