Monaghan Arts Network Christmas Showcase

Monaghan Arts Network Christmas Showcase

Monaghan Arts Network is a Voluntary Organisation whose objective is to show the diversity of artistic talent from the many diverse communities in County Monaghan and further afield to audiences by means of a free admission Monthly Showcase. Each month, we aim to bring a range of the Arts such as dance, poetry, sculpture, singer/songwriters, emerging and established talent to a local audience irrespective of their means. From January to November we host the monthly Showcase that normally includes two non-music-performing artists such as jewellery making, photography etc and two music performance. Two acts perform in the first half, followed by the half-time interval for refreshments, mix and mingle followed by the final two acts.

For the December Showcase, all music-performing acts from the previous 11 months are invited back to perform at the grand Christmas Concert. This is a night of exceptional talent and enjoyment for performer and audience and is the highlight of the MAN year. We use the full stage in the main theatre. For the 2019 Christmas Showcase we have invited 20 acts to participate. Genres include Contemporary, Traditional Music, Rock, from solo acts through to the 65-piece Oriel Traditional Orchestra.
