This two tiered project will firstly consist of an arts and spectacle parade themed around Queen Maeve of Connaught and the King of Ulster, the second tier will see a site-specific performance in Bunclody’s Market Square celebrating the 850th year anniversary of the Normans arrival.

The costumes, props, the parade and street performance will be created, designed and devised in participatory workshops with artists and the local community and showcased during the July festival.

The project aims on giving participants a great sense of pride, ownership and a sense of place in their town.
