Mountview Family Resource Centre in Dublin 15, is celebrating 25 years in the community this year. We propose to make a film to capture the journey and the history of the project. A small group representing the work of the Family Resource Centre (FRC) will join forces with filmmaker Gary Walsh, a local and well known film director, to create a captivating film that showcases the project's incredible journey. It will be a short film whereby we will include interviews with the original committee members and those responsible for seeking funding for the Family Resource Centre Programme and liasing with Fingal County Council to secure the house for the community. There will be a small group set up to work alongside the film producer, writer and director. They will learn skills in film making during the process.  As a tribute to he 25 years of the FRC programme in the community, the film will highlight the changes within the estate while presenting nostalgic stories of those who remember the project house fondly as "The Shop" The visually engaging and informative film aims to honour the Family Resource Centres legacy and impact on the community. We will then host a premier showing of the film and it will be a celebration of the 25 years of the FRC programme in the community.
