Moving Up                      

A four-week series of process drama workshops designed to engage 6th class students. Barnstorm offers to facilitate workshops to prepare students who are moving into a Secondary setting. It is an opportunity for Drama to be used in a creative manner to reflect on their educational journey while looking to prepare for the next chapter. The main objectives will be to; explore students’ feelings regarding their journey so far, combining positive education values with process drama. Looking at how this can shape and further support their move into secondary education. The program will cover discussion points around important interpersonal skills such as; Self-awareness skills, resilience, and relationship skills through the lens of practical hands-on drama-based activities.

Transition Year               

A 10-week Transition Year program engaging with local secondary schools. The Transition Year program aims to develop the individual person; students will meet once a week for a two-hour theatre arts workshop focusing on confidence, acting skills, group collaboration, improvisation and script work. By using the values of Youth Theatre we aim to create a safe and encouraging environment where students develop their theatrical skills along other like-minded students.
