The idea is to use the grant to help to launch a Podcast that is in keeping with Mullingar toastmaster values and also embraces the creative side of Westmeath. We will look to offer a platform that will help develop a network of creativity in Westmeath. We will reach out to other great clubs and creative people in order to build links with them to enrich all our experiences. Most importantly we want to be able to give members an opportunity to learn about a different communication medium and be involved in the podcast.

There is a natural fit with toastmasters as it requires good organisation skills (meetings/leadership), good presenting skills (speeches), ability to think on your feet (table topics) and good listening (evaluations). All are key toastmaster traits. We are currently working on the technical side of the Podcast and as soon as that is finalised, we will look to get great content out to our club and maybe the world!
