Murals for Communities is a Creative Europe funded project which is project managed by Waterford City and County Council and is creatively delivered by The Walls Project as well as partner cities in the Netherlands (Heerlen) and Lithuania (Kaunas).

The aims  of the project include:

to develop new ways of engaging hard-to-reach communities through the use of mural arts,

to support transnational mobility of artists

to increase the capacity of artists within the business setting.

Murals for Communities will travel to Galway 2020 as part of the European Capital of Culture celebrations and will deliver murals with communities in rural County Galway using the methodology devised as part of the two year Murals for Communities Creative Europe project.
