Musicians on Call is a project where professionally trained musicians from Kids Classics work in healthcare settings, to connect music-making opportunities to residents and healthcare staff in nursing homes and community hospitals.
In November & December 2021 this project has been extended;
- To promote health and well-being by improving the quality of life and cultural access for those who live and work in Healthcare Settings.
- To deliver a set of regular visits to 2 HSE Community Nursing Units in Limerick to extend the recent series of visits to connect residents connected to cultural activities by bringing high-quality live music to vulnerable older members of our communities living in Nursing Homes and their Carers, driven by equity of experience for all and a shared social experience.
- To grow a regional team of professional musicians under supervision.
Dates to be confirmed with the 2 nursing homes.
