National Drawing Day is an initiative at Butler Gallery to foster creativity in our audiences  through giving facilitated opportunities to practice and develop drawing skills. National Drawing Day is a large-scale national event. Taking place at the beautiful new cultural attraction of Evans Home, National Drawing Day will highlight Kilkenny culture. The main events will take place in our outdoor public areas and will include activities that encourage our theme ‘Drawing in Many Forms’. Both adults, children and families will be facilitated to participate together. Activities will include a giant collaborative chalk pavement art taking place on our plaza, early years creative activities in our garden, eco-focused workshops using natural materials and a drop in children’s puppet making and shadow drawing in our Learning Centre, as well as facilitated Samba drumming workshops focusing on ‘drawing with our bodies and sound’ on the front garden.
