Supported under Open Call Strand 1: Community/Creative Collaboration artist Elizabeth Valentine of New Art Gallery, located at An Ríoga in Boyle is working to create new artwork for this year's Boyle Arts Festival and holding creative workshops including plein air painting & still drawing for adults. and also children's painting classes and collage classes. Participants will be led by Elizabeth to express their creative skills and produce wonderful works of art that can be part of the exhibition. 

Elizabeth devised the concept of New Art Gallery in 2018, initially launching it as a pop up exhibition to raise funds for Sligo cancer support.

Her vision grew, and during Boyle Arts Festival of 2022, she secured a permanent space in Boyle. In 2024, the gallery found a new home in the recently renovated beautiful historic An Rioģa.

Elizabeth's goal is to create a vibrant hub of creativity in the Beautiful historic town of Boyle, bringing colour and inspiration to the town and surrounding areas. Beyond being a space to purchase art and crafts, the gallery serves as a community meeting place, offering art classes, artists meet ups and children's art workshops, nurturing both artistic talent and meaningful connections.
