Offaly Oral History Recordings
Maurice O'Keeffe from Irish Life and Lore Oral History recording, is undertaking a series of oral history recordings in Offaly documenting the stories, lifestyles and local history through a range of interviews.
He is working on a one to one basis interviewing a range of people all with different stories to tell and insights about their home place, their work and their lives connected to Offaly. A range of topics have been selected for 2021 - with a particular focus on agriculture; business specific to Offaly, the GAA, horseracing, Tullamore Dew and music. These will be hosted on the Offaly Library local studies website with free access for all.
