Roscommon County Council invites applications for funding from organisations, venues, festivals, artists, writers, performers, archaeologists, historians, archivists, community and voluntary groups, schools, colleges and everyone involved in the culture and creative sectors within County Roscommon. In 2020, an emphasis will be placed on the pressing issue of Climate Change. It is through the medium of culture and creativity that the underlying ethical, cultural, political and economic questions will be deliberated on, and that new sustainable values and ways of living will be disseminated.

The aim of this Open Call is to encourage new, ambitious and meaningful collaborations between people and communities and artists/ archaeologists/ historians/ archivists and all others involved in the culture and creative sectors in County Roscommon.

Strategic Priorities within the County Roscommon Culture and Creativity Strategy 2018-2022 as follows:

  1. Creative Children & Youth
  2. Creative Communities
  3. Creative Culture Infrastructure
  4. Creative Industry & Enterprise Sector
  5. Creative Awareness & Communication
Funding will be granted in the region of €2,000 - €5,000Please note the project must be a completely new initiative. In the case of existing events, the funding must be used to develop new strands/ideas.
