Sligo Artist Network has a membership of 300+ Sligo and Northwest creatives. The Networks home is virtual and runs as a Facebook group. The Network Fb group share news, events and opportunities about, with and for Artists, Creatives, Arts & Cultural Organisations and Venues. A support to fellow creatives by providing a virtual space for network members to meet share projects, artwork, ideas and information. The Creative Space… Artists of Sligo Facebook page is used to invite creatives to join, once you join the group you can invite fellow creatives to join. This has allowed the network to grow and develop. Currently there are 300+ members linking in with the Network through the Creative Space… Artists of Sligo Facebook group. Creatives join the network for many reasons, i.e., to use the Facebook page as a platform to promote their artworks, workshops, creative events, and exhibitions. Others use it as a way to keep connected with what’s happing in Co Sligo creative community. While others use it to put out a question or ask support from fellow network members. The network online group is also a useful platform for Sligo County Council Arts Service to share material/ information relevant to Sligo creatives.
