Open Call funding application for Cruinniú na nÓg events 2020

Open Call: Cruinniú na nÓg Carlow 2020 – “The Sky is Blue!”

2020 marks the anniversary of Carlow native John Tyndall. Tyndall was the founding Scientist on our current understanding of Climate Science, the Greenhouse effect, weather, climate change and he also discovered the explanation for “why the sky is blue”.

This year Cruinniú na nÓg Carlow invites applicants and organisations to consider the theme “The Sky is Blue!” when planning their Cruinniú 2020 events. This could take the form of an environmental themed event, a blue themed event or a science themed event, the sky is the limit, let your imaginations run wild!

Cruinniú na nÓg celebrates and encourages children and young people’s participation in culture and creativity through performance, coding, theatre, art and music workshops, readings, screenings, special events and much more. Events are free, local and activity based. It’s a day for doing, making and creating.

To seek funding for an event as part of Cruinniú na nÓg Carlow 2020 please complete a form available on www.carlow.ie and return to Aileen at anolan@carlowcoco.ie by 31st March 2020.

Please note that the details of events listed above are provided by the relevant Local Authorities.
