Opera Workshop seeks to capture on film the ‘Songs of the Meteorologist’ by Limerick composer Fiona Linnane. Currently unable to host live events, we aim to continue to reach out to our audiences via the internet and social media working with Honest Arts Production Co and film-maker Lucy Dawson. We will create two short scenes that highlight our love of site-specific venues, in particular those of our home city and of work that stems from an improvisatory process. 

Opera Workshop is known for producing innovative, site-specific projects for a live audience. Due to the current uncertainty and constant changes to the regulations it is difficult, off-putting and dispiriting to even consider trying to produce a live event.  

Opera Workshop will work with production company Honest Arts and film-maker Lucy Dawson to create two short opera scenes which can be shared on-line and via social media.

The short scenes will serve as a digital short event and provide an immediate way to connect with our audiences.

Furthermore we are delighted with the opportunity to learn new skills in particular acting for film, creating musical work for film, editing and the sharing of our work digitally.
