Initiated by the Patrick Kavanagh Centre and facilitated by Playwright and Actor Declan Gorman, 'Patrick at School' aims to open up the childhood world and writings of the great Monaghan poet, Patrick Kavanagh.  Over a series of three workshops, through the mediums of drama, sketching and creative writing, 5th and 6th class children from two schools will play with language, writing their own lines of poetry and celebrating the beauty of the small natural things around us. They will make a visit to Inniskeen, Patrick's village,  stopping at key spots including the Poetry Jukebox on the River Fane, sketching and journaling along the way.
