Péacóg Féile Ealaíne 2021

Péacóg Féile Ealaíne is a bi-lingual Arts Festival for young people by young people, with the aim to promote the Irish language in the community and facilitate the creative growth of young artists in Waterford.

This year Péacóg hopes to achieve this through two festivals: in August the Péacóg Féile Ar-Líne, an online-based festival with an emphasis on the digital art, and our regular Péacóg Féile Ealaíne focusing on traditional art in November.

Both festivals will include a selection of our 'Mic Oscailte' or Open Mics, panels, workshops, guest speakers, and competitions showcasing the best of youth art. Péacóg espouses the seanfhocal 'Mol an Óige agus tiocfaidh sí', as we believe that through our events, workshops and competitions we are helping develop and facilitate the next generation of young artists, to not only make art, but to make art through Irish. Cementing the Irish language as a working language not just now, but for generations to come.

Full programme and details will be available soon to view on the festival website here.
