Our Wicklow Heritage  - People & Place: To develop,  expand and promote the existing online community heritage archive for county Wicklow to enhance its role as a central hub for storing and sharing information about the built, natural and cultural heritage of County Wicklow. This project will involve redesigning the website and  re-developing the structure into a multi platform format,  whereby each ‘community’ can manage their own content. It is intended that this project will engage new audiences in addition to the  traditional historical society audience and will include citizen science recording groups, field clubs, community archaeology initiatives, artistic and traditional craft practitioners and school based initiatives. Participating communities will benefit from being part of a national network of community heritage archives in Ireland managed by Irish Community of Archive Networks (iCAN). Part of this project will involve rolling out a  training programme for participants in topics such  as  online editing,  reading the landscape,  oral history recording, digital recording, archiving  and photoshop.
