In 2020 T.V. Honan of Waterford’s Spraoi International Arts Festival curated the V.I.M programme to build resilience and forward-thinking methodologies for the creative community in Waterford. To further develop the group dynamic, Creative Waterford funding will be used to explore the notion of place and space in the urban environment. Garter Lane Arts Centre will use their outdoor courtyard to provide facilitated workshops to examine the new dynamics of outdoor spaces for arts, creativity, play.

This project will be further supported by Waterford Cultural Quarter under the new Strategic Plan for the project, and Waterford City and County Council to examine best use of space in the pandemic environment and the public desire for open space, useable space. Reference to the Reimagine Master Class in Placemaking Project by the Irish Architectural Foundation will also be part of the project.
