Stones tell stories. Stones carry messages from the past. When we mark a stone with an image or some words, we are casting our message into the future. We are making a mark that will possibly outlive us. Lemanaghan has a rich and significant heritage which is reflected in the existing structures and artefacts on site, and in documentary evidence since the seventh century. Lemonaghan Bog Heritage & Conservation Group  have been engaging with sculptor, Ciaran Byrne  who has immersed himself in the essence of the community's connection to Lemanaghan. As a result, Ciaran has gained valuable insights into the significance of the site, appreciating its rich history and the passionate attachment of the locals to their special surroundings. The community, in turn, has embraced Ciaran's involvement and is eager to collaborate with him to realise their shared vision which will be a sculptural piece called 'Portal'.  More details to follow on the website as the project develops.
