Portraits from The Ramor is collaboration between Cavan County Council, Creative Ireland, visual artist Michelle Boyle and The Ramor Theatre to mark the 20th Anniversary of the opening of the theatre in Virginia, Co. Cavan. Local artist Michelle Boyle will work from a combination of live sittings, photographs and material from the Theatre archives to create a body of 10 portraits of iconic people from Cavan across all art forms. The first of these is Tom MacIntyre, poet, playwright and man of letters. This will be revealed at a Special Memorial Celebration of the life of Tom MacIntyre in The Ramor Theatre on Saturday 30th November 2019.

Throughout 2020 the other portraits will be revealed building to the full collection of ten, which will then be housed at the Ramor as its in-house collection but will also visit Cavan County Museum and Johnston Library, Cavan.  

Other planned portraits include: Derbhle Crotty, Dermot Healy and Micheal Harding.
