This summer Cork Printmakers artist/facilitator Nic Flanagan will lead a programme of 12 weekly workshops in printmaking with members of Cork Migrant Centre Women’s Coffee Morning Group at Nano Nagle Place for two hours per week. Participants will be Cork Migrant Centre service users, comprising mothers and women in Direct Provision or ex-Direct Provision, along with others who are from migrant and refugee backgrounds. The workshops will provide essential respite for members the group by creating artwork in a supportive environment.
The Print + Place sessions will provide artistic exploration of the themes of place and the women will be supported to create new works using print to express their ideas. A selection of the artworks produced will be displayed at Cork Printmakers Studio Gallery.
