Rathcroghan: ORIS waymarked walking trail & infographic

Supported under Open Call Strand 2: Creative Climate Action/Heritage/Biodiversity Collaboration this project will see local artist Anne Marie Murray produce a vibrant, bespoke trail map for the new Rathcroghan Waymarked Walking Trail, combining playful yet accurate design to guide walkers while capturing the unique spirit of the landscape. As the first-ever map for this trail, it will serve as both a practical tool for navigation and a keepsake that engages visitors of all ages.

This map will be available as a digital file and print ready file.

Building on her previous work with Rathcroghan,  illustrated book on The Cave of the Cats, Anne Marie will create compelling visuals that breathe life into this historic setting. This illustrated map will offer a conventional take on map making, decorated with illustrated artefacts and facts, showcasing the significance of the historical site.

This project is a collaboration with Tulsk Action Group CLG t/a Rathcroghan Visitor Centre, who will work closely as the interpretive and promotional hub for the trail. Their expertise will ensure that the map is accessible, engaging, and informative.

Additionally, Farming Rathcroghan Scheme CLG will add nuance by integrating elements that highlight their innovative agriculture and heritage projects. Their contribution will showcase the dynamic, sustainable community thriving amidst these ancient monuments
