Restoration Art Trail
The Restoration Art Trail is an trail featuring the work of six Waterford artists, who are currently in residency in the Garter Lane Arts Centre. The trail will take place in five Waterford libraries from the end of May to August 2022.
Waterford Central Library, Lady Lane, Waterford City X91 V045
Ardkeen Library, Dunmore Road, Waterford X91 YT53
Carrickphierish Library, Carrickphierish, Waterford X91 YK12
Tramore Library, Market Street, Waterford X91 CY96
Lismore Library, West Street, Waterford P51 EK60
The theme of this Arts Council Project is Restoration Art Commission – this has significance to both the impact that creativity can have during Covid and imminent physical restoration of the Garter Lane 2 building (the artists studios) as well as a practical way of restoring those physical links between artists and the community – which Waterford Library branches are ideally placed to do.
This project is being run by Síle Penkert Director of the Garter Lane Arts Centre, Sandra Kelly Visual Arts & Outreach Manager at Garter Lane and Nora Boland will be co-ordinating the delivery and installation of the pieces.
More information on the art trail will be available on the Waterford Libraries Facebook page when the exhibitions are open.
