This project aims to explore the River Brosna which can be followed from Mullingar, through 8 villages to the Shannon in Shannon Harbour County Offaly. There are a number of ways that this is being explored.

1. John Feehan is writing a book on the formation of the river Brosna and its journey through the landscape. This is a joint publication between Westmeath and Offaly County Councils.

2. Mid Ireland Adventure are kayaking the length of the river to see how navigable it is and whether it is possible to conduct a community relay down its length.

3. Community Engagement - communities exploring their own relationship with the river and sharing this with the other communities along the river.
