We are endeavouring to make our Festival a one-stop shop for everything opera, aiming to make the art form accessible to all, from complete beginner to expert. Our new book, " River Notes- Opera in Limerick " by local historian Sharon Slater aims to make our community more aware about our operatic past. It provides insights into the processes and events of the past and interconnects them. It is only by having an idea of the past that we can appreciate why people hold the values they do today and why they behave as they do.
