A six‑day community filmmaking programme led by professional artist and facilitator Christine Braithwaite, delivered in collaboration with Foróige and local community groups across Roscommon. This hands‑on project introduces participants of all ages and backgrounds to the creative process of filmmaking, from idea development and visual storytelling to acting, filming, and basic editing.

Delivered through three two‑day workshops in July 2026, each group will create an original short film, culminating in three films which will premiere at the Roscommon International Film Festival (RIFF) 2026. Workshops will take place in accessible youth and community venues including The Quad Youth Centre, Ballaghaderreen Youth Space, and local libraries or community rooms (subject to availability).

Designed to be inclusive, supportive, and beginner‑friendly, the programme encourages creativity, confidence, and collaboration, with a strong emphasis on neurodiversity and participation for all learning styles. Screening the finished films at RIFF gives participants a sense of achievement while celebrating local voices and strengthening Roscommon’s cultural identity.
