This film will feature as its main theme the burning of Balbriggan in September 1920, commonly referred to as the Sack of Balbriggan. There are a number of side stories before and after the Sack which will flesh out the understanding of this important historic period in Fingal, nationally and indeed internationally.

The Old IRA Society has existed since 1944 and its objectives have evolved over the years. We are committed to telling the story of the men and women who served the Fingal Volunteers and the 5th Battalion of the Dublin Brigade in the period from 1913 through to the commencement of the Civil War.
