The Sean O'Casey Festival is an annual community led event, co-ordinated by the Sean O'Casey Theatre, the East Wall History Group and a number of individual performers from the North Docklands area.
The two week-long festival incorporates Drama, art, history and literature, and features contributions from established as well as new talents. This year the festival will run from 17th September to 1st October and includes three separate theatre productions (including one Irish premiere), a literary discussion, a photo exhibition, a talk on a local sculptor and his public works, four separate walking tours, a music evening and a showcase by SAOL Project participants and a book launch.
The ethos of the festival has always been to present low cost or free events, and this is what we will be doing this year too.
