SEEK Urban Arts Festival

The 2022 SEEK festival will run from 3 to 10 July in Dundalk.

Invited artists for 2022 are Milu Correch (Argentina), Mariana Santos (Portugal), Smug
(Australia/Scotland), Aches (Dublin), Joe Caslin (Roscommon) and Cormac Dillon (Limerick). They will produce murals celebrating industrial ship building in Dundalk, Harry Tempest, Robbie Burns, Sweet Afton, Cúchulainn and LGBT history.

A programme of walking tours of the mural sites will take place each day. Exciting free graffiti workshops for children and young adults will be provided on the two Saturdays
during the festival.

The event will kick off with a launch in Creative Spark’s newly launched Downtown Hub in the town centre on 1 July. It will feature presentations by the artists on their practice, their inspirations and their plans for the festival walls.

This year SEEK will again programme fringe events with local artists and craftspeople taking their work onto the streets and setting up workshops and small stands promoting their work. The established networks Louth Craftmark, Bridge Street Studios and AAEX (Art as Exchange) are leading these events, as well as An Táin Arts Centre’s Culture Quest, one day in person tours.

Please note that the details of events listed above are provided by the relevant Local Authorities.
