SEEK Urban Arts Festival

Returning for its fifth year, SEEK Urban Arts Festival will welcome acclaimed street artists from around the world to Dundalk this summer. The festival kicks off on Saturday 1st July, promising a week-long celebration of art and culture in the town. Year on year, the festival aspires to reconnect Dundalk to unique stories from our historical past, and 2023 will be no exception.

Invited artists are Mister Copy (South Africa), Mack Signs (Ireland), Studio Giftig (The Netherlands), Ciredz (Italy), Lovely Letters (Ireland), and Creaero (France). This year SEEK will explore themes around Dundalk’s traditional railway industry, our myths and legends, our beautiful geographic location, and our feisty womenfolk!

We will again have a programme of walking tours of the mural sites each day.

Free graffiti workshops for children and young adults will be provided on the two Saturdays during the festival. Creative Spark Mobile FabLab will also make an outdoor cardboard structure using parametric design and laser-cutting on one of the Saturdays.

The award winning Studio Giftig will bring the colourful story of Roesia de Verdun to life; Mack Signs will work on a project celebrating the long and rich railway heritage of the town; Mister Copy will produce a mural celebrating Setanta; Ciredz will recreate the Plains of Muirhevna; and Creaero will commemorate the recent visit of President Biden to Dundalk.

SEEK Urban Arts Festival 2023 runs from 1 to 9 July, with a launch event on 30 June.
