This project will create a Sensory Garden beside Shannon Library. The garden will be used by all members of the community as a reflective, relaxing communal space with all aspects of the design allowing for full participation and enjoyment of the space by those with mobility and sensory issues. It will involve the installation of a new door, ramp and steps from the library into the space. The garden will have wheelchair accessible pathways, raised beds incorporating sensory planting, benches allowing for bookclub meetings and storytimes and other sensory features. A local community group are contributing towards the garden.
