Short Story in a Short Time with June Caldwell

A 6 week in person course for the beginner/emerging writer. From initial spark of an idea to intriguing opening, and keeping readers hooked until the end, this course will examine the nuts & bolts of the short story in a practical step-by-step way.


June Caldwell is an award-winning short story writer who has written for radio, short story anthologies, literary journals, and her own collection Room Little Darker. Her debut novel Little Town Moone is forthcoming from John Murray. June has facilitated workshops at literary festivals, libraries, the Irish Writers Centre, and Mountjoy Men’s Prison. She has also judged numerous short story competitions.

Dates: Saturdays 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th of September, and 5th, 12th of October from 2-4pm in Leixlip Community Library.
