Sing a Song of Docklands is from the vision of David Brophy, in consultation with
the communities of the Docklands. Communities of the Docklands are core to each of the commissioned pieces and each awardee has been embedded in the local area working with schools, youth groups, resident and other community groups to inspire, inform and create each new commission. Participating groups such as the Dockers Preservation Society, the
RICC Centre, City Quay National School & Central Model Senior School, the
residents of Grand Canal dock and Pearse street communities have all been integral
in the awards being realised.

Dublin City Council supported by Sing Ireland affiliate choirs Kings Hospital School Choir, Cór na nÓg, Guinness Choir and Maryfield College Choir in a night of songs and celebration, curated by David Brophy with MD David Hayes directing the night and with guest supporting acts Jerry Fish, DJ Robbie Kitt and Ciaran Kelly.

Tickets, costing €11.50 plus booking fees, are available on Ticketmaster.ie
