South Roscommon Creatives- Exploring the Artist Within
Supported by the Open Call Strand 1: Community/Creative Collaboration Moore Hall in rural South Roscommon will offer art and craft classes to our local adult community, focusing on creating a space where adults can come together, explore their creativity, and connect through art.
This will take shape as a weekly two-hour Art & Craft class over eight weeks - two weeks in April, four weeks in May, and the final two classes will run in the lead-up to Culture Night which takes place on Friday, September 19, 2025. Participants' work from the 8 classes will be publicly displayed as part of the Culture Night event hosted by Moore Community Council.
It will provide participants with the opportunity to explore new techniques and develop their artistic skills and interests. The classes will cover a variety of creative areas, including: • Simple Watercolours • Collage • Creating Pop-Up Storybooks • Cyanotype Printing • Simple Crochet and Weaving • Felting & Natural Dyeing
Further info will soon be made available on the Moore Hall Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/moorecommunityoffice/
