Sparkle – Blue Teapot Community Theatre Programme
Sparkle is one arm of Blue Teapot’s Community Theatre Programme and is for teenagers aged 12 – 17 years. Sparkle is the first point of contact a young person aspiring to perform can make with Blue Teapot. It is specifically designed for this age group to encourage them in developing their creativity and social skills. Facilitators focus on the basics of theatre techniques such as group work, concentration and exploring imagination through playful improvisation.
Sparkle can be a pathway for those who want to progress in to either our 3 year QQI accredited Performing Arts School Programme or Bright Soul, the other arm of our Community Theatre Programme for adults.
This Autumn the Sparkle participants will create a performance , directed by Lali Morris, former Artistic Director of Baboró, International Arts Festival for Children.
The experience they will gain from performing live in front of an invited audience will increase their confidence and ‘being seen’ is often gamechanging in a person’s development.
