Ardagh is long associated with Brigid and the tradition of making crosses, blessing them, and visiting the well continues each Brigid’s Day. This workshop will provide the opportunity to learn how to make various types of St Brigid’s Crosses, and learn some other weaving skills such as a small hand weave to bring home. The day would be relaxed and informative with tales of St Brigid and Ardagh while we weave. Participants are encouraged to share their stories and poetry. Free for all but booking advisable.
