Dr Niamh Wycherley, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Early Irish at Maynooth University, winner of the National University of Ireland Publication Prize in Irish History 2017 for her book, The Cult of Relics in Early Medieval Ireland, delivered the second biennial lecture to mark the feast day of St. Willibrord - the 7th century Carlow-trained missionary whose impact is still to be seen in Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
