Street Art for the Goals 2022

Street Art for the Goals (SAG) combines visual art, sustainable living and reclamation of underused community space to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This project is a collaboration of the Waterford Sustainable Living Initiative (SLí), visual artist Aga Krym and local community groups (eg. Tidy Towns Committees).

SAG will ultimately create an installation for each one of the Sustainable Development Goals throughout County Waterford, each one will be a stand-alone piece as well as be part of the series. Three murals were completed around County Waterford as part of their Creative Waterford 2021 Project and they will continue with 4 more murals for 2022.

Accompanying each installation will be a social media campaign to encourage people to visit the installation and raise awareness about the SDGs, why they are important and the role that each of us has in making sure that we achieve them.

The murals will be developed and created starting from May to October. Information and images of the murals will be shared on the Waterford Sli Facebook page and Creative Waterford Facebook when they have been completed.
