Street Art for the Goals combines visual art, sustainable living and reclamation of underused community space to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This project is a collaboration of the Waterford Sustainable Living Initiative (SLí), visual artist Aga Krym and local community groups (eg. Tidy Towns Committees).
Street Art for the Goals will ultimately create 17 murals that connect the SDGs to our local communities throughout County Waterford, each one will be a stand-alone piece as well as be part of the series.
Seven murals have already been completed as part of our Creative Waterford 2021 and 2022 Projects and will continue with 3 more murals for 2023. Accompanying each installation will be a social media campaign to encourage people to visit the installation and raise awareness about the SDGs, why they are important and the role that each of us has in making sure that we achieve them.
For further information and updates on the project, follow the Waterford Sustainable Living Initiative (SLí) on social media - Facebook Instagram and Twitter.
