Led by Youth Work Ireland Galway Loughrea, this project empowers young people to embrace sustainable fashion through hands-on workshops and a youth-led clothes swap event. Addressing the environmental impact of fast fashion, the initiative fosters creativity, practical skills, and mindful consumer choices. Participants will learn to upcycle, repair, and curate their wardrobes more sustainably by selecting versatile pieces, avoiding wasteful purchases, and repurposing old garments. 

The Sustainable Fashion Project includes five interactive workshops and a youth-led event, all designed to enhance awareness, creativity, and practical skills. The project will be 10 weeks in total covering the following topics

• Fast Fashion Awareness 
• Basic Sewing Skills
• Embroidery Workshop
• Youth-led Clothes Swap Event & Personal Stylist Talk

This project is open to anyone aged 13 to 17 and is held in Loughrea.
